2025 DIII Analytical All American and All Region Teams
Hansen Ratings, the premier provider of Division III college
football ratings since 2014, is proud to announce the release of its 9th
annual 2025 Division III Football Analytical All-American and All-Region teams.
The All American teams are led by players
of the year Offensive MVP QB Kaleb Blaha of UW-River Falls, Defensive MVP DB
Ethan Burrows of Adrian, Special Teams MVP K Pedro Altamirano of
Hardin-Simmons, Freshman MVP QB Grant Bizjack of Millsaps, and Coach of the
Year Matt Walker of UW-River Falls.
Kaleb Blaha set numerous NCAA Division III and All-Division records in 2025,
and did so by combining all of the attributes that are valued in my analysis (and winning games)
- high usage rates, big plays, efficiency, and a strong strength of schedule.
Ethan Burrows earned Devensive MVP honors by leading one of the most-improved
units in the country in 2025, and by being a stellar playmaker across all levels of the field.
Burrows had 6.5 tackles for loss, 8 interceptions, 5 additional pass breakups, as well as a
blocked kick and half sack on his resume.
Pedro Altamirano earned the honor of special teams player of the year with a
combination of an amazingly strong leg, high usage rates, and well above average accuracy.
Pedro led the nation in average kickoff distance and also led the nation in net yardage value on
kickoffs, and also made 10 of 12 field goals with a long of 47 yards.
Grant Bizjack had an outstanding freshman season with the Majors to earn his honor.
Grant led his team in rushing, with over 600 yards on the ground outside of sacks, and he was also
extremely explosive & efficient through the air, throwing for nearly 250 yards per game with 21
touchdowns and only 5 interceptions.
Matt Walker led the UW-River Falls Falcons to their first national championship in
2025, and earned seemingly every national coach of the year honor in the process. It's well-earned,
with the Falcons finishing 2025 not only as the top rated team in my ratings, but also easily
finishing as the team who beat my model's projections by the most in 2025, with 7 more
wins than they were projected to have by my model in the preseason.
The Hansen Ratings All American and All Region teams are determined
by mathematical formula. Players are awarded for efficiency, volume, impactful
plays, and quality competition. All Division III football players are eligible
for selection. The main metrics in the calculation are Total Adjusted Yards per
Play (TAYP) and Yards Above Replacement Player per Game (YARP/G).
Coaches of the year are selected based on the overall success of
their team, by how much they improved this season, and by how far they exceeded
preseason expectations.
